GLASS/SHATTERED NAIL ART TUTORIAL

Hey girlz!! The hottest nail trend at the moment is definitely the glass/shattered nails. From South Korea with love, this patter has thrilled the beauty world. And because the stickers can be quite expensive and may take some time to arrive to you, we will be making them ourselves. So grab your tools, and host a spa night with your friends, because this nail art takes a good time to be done.

You will need:

• Nail polish
• Top Coat
• Foil or iridescent cellophane
• Something to pick up the pieces (nail art brush, tweezers, pencil, etc.)

Because I decided to go with foil, I first painted my nails a metallic blue. Just one coat is enough for the effect we want to create.

While you are waiting for the polish to dry, go and cut the foil. For this design you should cut only triangular pieces, in all possible sizes.

Now paint your nails your favorite color. I went with black because the foil pops out even more if I’ve painted it a light pink for example. But you can totally go for whatever color you want. Take your tool, and start arranging the foil. I prefer every piece to be visible and not covered by any other. This arrangement took me about 5 minutes per nail.

And lastly the topcoat. Here you want to be as generous as possible. Pick a fast dry topcoat and add at least 2 layers on your nails. The more you add, the more the design will stay in your nails.

And there you go. You have the biggest trend on your nails, and you totally DIYed it. You can also use a UV topcoat and a lamp to make it last even longer. The hole nail art took me about 2,5 hours to make, so plan your time!
